Fc barcelona...

Fc Barcelona: Hans Gamper, a Swiss, founded FC Barcelona on November 29, 1899, in the city of Barcelona, located in the province of Catalonia. Barcelona initially played on the Les Corts ground known as “the cathedral of Football” which was inaugurated on 20th May 1922. The stadium had a capacity of 30,000 spectators, which later doubled to 60,000. In June 1950, Ladislao Kubala arrived in Barcelona, and transformed FC Barcelona into an invincible team. In 1950, Francesc Miro-Sans promoted the building of the Camp Nou Stadium, which was inaugurated on the 4th of September 1957 and had a capacity of 90,000. FC Barcelona’s progress can be monitored on its official website.

FC Barcelona Entrenador: Frank Rijkaard is the present day coach (entrenador) of Barcelona. A legendary defensive mid fielder in his days with the AC Milan club, he was FC Barcelona’s manager for the 2003-2004 season. The season would prove to be a turning point for the club, but not without initial instability. Rijkaard arrived at the club as it entered a new stage, having elected a new President in Joan Laporta and a new managerial (entrenador) board. For Rijkaard, the team he was given was without the new sensation, Ronaldinho, who was injured at the time. The squad was made up of many underperforming players from the older generation that failed to fulfill the club’s and its fans' expectations to equal Real Madrid 's victory in the initial part of the millennium, and were devoid of trophies since1999. Barcelona suffered an unsatisfactory start to the 2003-2004 season, which had some of the club's fans calling for his departure. However, Rijkaard's persistence paid off, and from 2004 onwards, attained a massive transformation as the team climbed up the table, finishing runners-up in La Liga, in spite of staying in the drop zone for much of the earlier stages. Rijkaard then brought into Barcelona a new style of play, as he retired out the previous guard and recreated a new attacking and glamorous side around Ronaldinho. It has olayers like Eto’o, Deco and Edmilson, supporting him, he ultimately was successful in changing the club fortunes, and in the next couple of years they eventually won La Liga both in 2004-05 and in 2005-2006. He is currently the only Barcelona coach who has won twice at the Bernie, an accomplishment that even legends like Louis Van Gaal, Luis Aragones and Johan Cryuff not able to achieve.

FC Barcelona Ronaldinho: Ronaldinho first came under media scrutiny when playing for a local Brazilian side, Gremio. His prodigious technique and eye for goal made him one in an exclusive list to be knighted as ‘the new Pele’. It was clear from a young age that he was a class above the Brazilian league standards, and after a successful time with Gremio, a move to Europe seemed fated. While always being talked about as a future star, the Brazilian proved on the international stage at the World Cup 2002, that he had finally become the next big thing. Although Ronaldo stole the spotlight, Ronaldinho was praised for his performances, and is most remembered for that goal against England in the quarterfinals. He returned from the Far East with a World Cup winner’s medal and champion status. Ronaldinho joined FC Barcelona within a year.

F.C Barcelona Logo: The FC Barcelona logo sports red and blue colors, which stand for free Catalonia, an ancient part of Muslim Spain. Unlike other clubs FC Barcelona is also well known for declining sponsor’s request to let the logo feature on the football jerseys. The refusal was a sign of Catalonia’s independence, as even the kit’s manufacturer proposed mark is not acceptable.
