Vancouver Sun Newspaper:The Vancouver Sun is the largest daily newspaper in Canadian province of British Columbia. It was first published on February 12, 1912. The paper is currently published by Pacific Newspaper Group Inc. which is a division of the CanWest MediaWorks Income Fund, affiliated with CanWest Global Communications Company. It is published six days a week, Monday through Saturday. The Vancouver Sun and The Province are the two major daily papers in British Columbia published by Pacific Newspaper Group. The Vancouver Sun office was housed at the Sun Tower from 1937 to 1965. In 1924, the Sun bought over the Vancouver World newspaper, which was in financial crisis for some time. In March 1937, when a fire destroyed the newspaper’s business and editorial offices it moved into the World Building, where The World used to get published. The building was renamed as the Sun Tower.
