Thailand Weather - Bangkok: Bangkok lying in the Central Thailand has a tropical, high temperature and humidity. It is dominated by monsoons and has three seasons namely, the summer, the rainy and the winter. April and May are the hottest months. They have very high temperature and high humidity. June to October marks the rainy season. Most of the rain tends to fall between August and September. The flooding is common towards the end of this season. The winter starts from November and continues to the end of the February. This season has quite hot day temperatures, but evenings tend to be cooler.
Thailand Weather Forecast: Thailand weather forecast describes Thailand to have tropical and humid weather for the majority of the country during most of the year. Thailand's weather is influenced by monsoons which sweep over the country. It creates three seasons in the north and central areas of Thailand while only two seasons in the southern part of Thailand.
- Northern Thailand - The climate of Northern Thailand is slightly more pleasant than other parts of the country. It has clearly defined seasons. Between November and May the weather is mostly dry. But the evenings are cooler between November and February. March to May months record relatively higher temperatures and humidity. The northeast monsoon does not directly affect the northern area of Thailand. It causes some cooling breezes from November to February. May to November is dominated by southwest monsoon. The season has heavy rainfall throughout although the temperatures remain quite high.
- Southern Thailand - The southern region of Thailand is marked by two seasons, namely the rainy and dry season. The climate is influenced by monsoon winds and remains warm and humid throughout the year. The two seasons do not run at the same time on both the east and west side of the peninsular. In the west coast, the southwest monsoon brings rain and often heavy storms from April through to October. In the east coast, the most rain falls occur between September and December. In rainy season, the torrential rain tends to fall in short bursts, usually lasting only a couple of hours each day. The southern parts of Thailand get more rainfall compared to the central and northern regions of Thailand.
- Central Thailand - The Central Thailand covers a wide land area and the climate varies from place to place. The hot season has the hottest weather. The heat becomes quite oppressive and the temperatures soar above the average. Very small amount of rain fall can be seen during March and April. The rainy season slightly varies each year depending on when the monsoon arrives. But it is usually between June and October. The season has heavy rainfall, with high temperatures. In cool season, the daytime temperatures remain quite high and nighttime temperatures fall.
Thailand Weather Phuket: Phuket has a tropical monsoon climate with two seasons of dry and monsoon. The temperature is basically the same in all seasons. It is warm throughout the year. In the monsoon season, there are short 20-30 minutes heavy rains followed by sunshine. From June to August there are undercurrents in some areas. From November to March, the north east monsoon creates cool breezes. April to May, the temperatures are high, but there are frequent short heavy thunder showers.
