Fayetteville Observer- A North Carolina newspaper: The Fayetteville Observer, which is owned by Charles Broadwell, is the oldest newspaper in North Carolina, which is still in publication. In January 1957, the company started a Sunday morning edition, thereby increasing the publication schedule to seven days a week.

Fayetteville Observer Times: On July 1973, the company started a morning newspaper, called The Fayetteville Times, while continuing to publish the afternoon Observer. A combination of the two papers were distributed on Sundays, and later, even on Saturdays, Subsequently, on September 1, 1990, both the papers were merged to form the Fayetteville Observer Times, a bigger morning newspaper.
