Gender Prediction: You can predict for yourself whether you want to have a boy or a girl by following the ancient Chinese gender chart. Gender prediction, by using the chart is quite simple. An ancient birth gender chart made by the Chinese does this by cross-referencing a mother’s age when conception takes place and the month in which she conceives. It is claimed to give as much as 93% accurate results for predicting a baby’s sex. The woman's age, from 18 to 45 is on the top line, while the months 1 to 12 indicate the month of conception of the baby. The Gender prediction chart also enables you to plan to have a boy or a girl. Ancient Gender Prediction Chart: The present version of the gender predictor is said to have originated from an ancient gender prediction chart that was found in a royal tomb near Peking. The chart is said to be highly accurate, when applied to Chinese women, cited by a survey that was conducted in hospitals.
An Internet survey that was conducted in 1999-2000, however, shows that the calendar’s predictions were about 70% accurate. The prediction is considered to be better than a guess, if the percentage exceeds 70%.

However, a certain amount of confusion remains.

The Chinese were using the lunar calendar to keep a record of their daily events as early as 700 years ago.

The baby gender prediction chart might also have been conforming to the Chinese lunar calendar. However, the chart does not mention any of the leap months that are prevalent in the Chinese lunar system.

Take for instance, the leap month that occurred in1971 was not recognized by the gender chart. Similar problems were faced by Chinese astrologers when they referred to the calendars. While some of them use the sixth month in place of the fifth leap month, others use the first half of the fifth month and the second half of the sixth month. It may be possible that the gender prediction charts refer to Chinese astrology months that come close to the Gregorian calendar that is without using leap months. Some believe the Chinese calendar month on the chart is not reliable when calculating the month of conception after the 25th day, and they suggest the use of the next month instead.

Baby Prediction: According to the data presented in the Chinese gender selection birth chart, the best chances for having a baby boy, were when the mother was of the age 18, 20, 30 0r 42, provided she conceived in July and for a baby girl it would be 21, 22 or 29 provided she conceived in April.
Also, according to the study, there is a 54% chance that a boy would be born. Thus, it holds out the hope of gender selection by planning the pregnancy using the chart. This chart is available at several sites online free of cost.
