Italian Greyhound miniatures: This is a small dog and it is a member of the sight hound family. This particular breed of dog is one of the smallest of dogs available and they weigh just about three to five kilograms and their height ranges from about thirty three to forty three cms. In spite of belonging to the “toy” group due to their weight they occupy a little more space as these creatures are quite boney. The Italian Greyhound has a deep chest and the abdomen is tucked inside. The legs are slender and the neck is long. The facial structure resembles that of a dachshund and they look like miniature Greyhounds. When they move about they look like those very elegant horses on the trot.

Their temperament is considered to be a good companion as these dogs are really very affectionate. The only point is that they are not very good to look at as they fragile in appearance with long and thin legs. But one must not misjudge their appearance with their power. Their bark is loud and clear as they have large and powerful lungs. As they are naturally quite slender they do not require much of an exercise. They are also intelligent, cooperative, rarely ill and very strong.

This particular breed is similar to a smaller version of the grey hound. It has the same texture and the color of the coat of a grey hound.
