Four cylinder l models offer 5-speed manual transmission or optional 4-speed automatic, and the V6s have standard 5-speed automatic transmission. The SE Sport features distinctive styling of the lower body, 17-inch wheels, and performance-tuned suspension. The SLE V6 coupes and both convertibles also have 17-inch wheels, while the SE and 4-cyl coupes have 16-inch wheels. All Solaras come with front side airbags and antilock 4-wheel disc brakes.
