Mitsubishi Canada Eclipse Car: The Mitsubishi Canada Eclipse Car is a sports vehicle manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. Mitsubishi Motors of Japan and Chrysler of the US joined hands in a 50-50 partnership, and integrated into a new company called DSM (Diamond-Star Motors). The name was based on the three diamonds in the Mitsubishi logo and the pentastar in the Chrysler logo. DSM was renamed MMMA (Mitsubishi Motors Manufacturing America) in 1995.The car is manufactured for the left hand drive markets of Canada, the US, Taiwan and other countries. The Mitsubishi Canada Eclipse Car has been in production since 1989 in the DSM manufacturing facility at Normal, Illinois, USA. A two-door compact car, which seats four persons, it has undergone major changes, categorized by ‘four generations’, to date. The first generation, 1G, remained in production from 1990 to 1994, the second generation, 2G, from 1995 to 1999, the third, 3G, from 2000 to 2005 and the last, 4G, beginning in 2006, is under production.
