Cayman porsche...
Launched in the year 2006, the Cayman is a two-seat sports car produced by Porsche AG of Germany. The Cayman is the coupe version of the second generation Porsche Boxster convertible. Valmet Automotive in Finland assembles the Cayman. The name ‘Cayman’ is derived from a species of alligator known as ‘caiman’. Because of the shared name, Porsche has donated to a Stuttgart Zoo's caiman exhibit.
The Porsche Cayman is a two-seater because the car’s engine is placed where the rear seats would have been. This results in the engine not being easily accessible, although there's a way into the oil filler via the boot. There is a spacious luggage area below the tailgate to supplement the front turbo 911/Boxster-sized boot. Similar to other Porsche automobiles, the Cayman is small in size, which makes it very usable and practical. However, even though it shares many features with the Boxster, the Cayman is unique with its curvaceous rear wings and neat fastback roof. Like other Porsches, it has a movable rear spoiler that deploys above 120km/h. The pictures and wallpapers that display the good looks of the Cayman Porsche are available on the official website on the Internet.
The Porsche Cayman is available in two models, the Cayman S and the base Cayman. The base Cayman has a 2.7-liter six-cylinder boxer engine that produces 245 horsepower and 201 pound-feet of torque, along with a five-speed manual transmission. The Cayman S, which is similar to the Boxster, has a 3.4-liter engine with 295 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. The Cayman also has a manual transmission that increases to six. Both the models have an optional five-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with a manual-shift mode. Porsche engines are water-cooled and are characterized by a breathy whine, like that of the giant air-cooling fans of old.
More or less similar to its prototype, the Boxster, this Porsche coupe does not have too many new or unique parts. In other words, the Cayman is a compact car that provides a focused driving experience with its taut and sporty suspension.
The Porsche Cayman achieves a maximum speed of 275 km/h and goes from zero to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, even with the sacrifice of mileage. The Porsche Cayman works really well with the optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM). However, unlike the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Cayman does not require suspension management, as it provides a firm and rarely turbulent ride. The Porsche Active Suspension Management lowers the body of the Cayman, and it tightens the damping in its Sport mode. The Porsche Active Suspension Management provides a racing car feel to the Cayman, which is emphasized with the Chrono option.
In conclusion, the Porsche Cayman is a remarkable illustration of a car with a rigid, solid-roofed body. The Cayman S has all the positive Porsche attributes a user would want, with none of the snags. However, it's not the fastest Porsche, not the fiercest, not the most breathtaking. It is a pooling of other Porsche parts, which means that the Cayman is not expensive to develop but has the potential to generate big profits. Used Porsche Caymans are available at car auctions on the Internet.
