Picture of STD Herpes classification: Herpes is a disease caused by a virus called Herpes simplex virus. It has two strains namely herpes Simplex virus 1 or HSV-1 and herpes simplex virus 2 or HSV-2. Although there are many ways of manifestation of the STD herpes virus, the classification picture divides them into two major groups .The HSV-1 strain is mainly associated with orofacial infections and Strain of HSV-2 is generally associated with genital infections. It is more commonly called the STD Herpes strain. But now a days an increasing number of cases are being reported in which the patents are complaining of genital infections which are being caused by the HSV-1 strain.
Symptom description of STD herpes life cycle: In case of sexually transmitted disease of herpes (that is the genital infection
of herpes), there can be occurrence of prodormal symptoms followed by irritation or itching in the affected areas. Thereafter there may be appearance of sores and in later stages the lesions which were formed due to the herpes infection begin to heal gradually. Normally the herpes lesions do not leave post infection scars unlike other viral skin ailments like small pox. These symptoms of STD Herpes can repeat. In some people the symptom repetition may happen rarely or to a lesser extent, while in some other people the symptom recurrence of the disease may occur more frequently. This all depends on the strain of infection one is suffering from. Normally the prodormal symptoms are the indication of the
outbreak and shedding of virus also takes place during this period. These predormal symptoms may include itching, irritation or inflammation in the
affected area.
Infection transmission of genital STD herpes during sexual intercourse:In America itself more than 50 million people are affected by
genital STD herpes disease and there are upto a million new cases annually. The women who are having active lesions may also require a c-section. Otherwise there is a risk of the new born to become infected form the disease which can cause the mental retardation and possible fatality. Herpes virus can enter the body by means of minor abrasions which can be microscopic in nature because virus is not such a big object which needs to have visible openings in skin to enter. It is to be termed as a simple warning that the transmission can not be prevented at all times simply by using a condom or oral dam; for vaginal or anal or/and sex by oral means. It has to be always kept in mind that the viral shedding can occur for few days per year, so decisions have to be made accordingly.
Vaginal and penile infection states in STD Herpes: The earlier vaginal eruptions in STD herpes are generally high in severiety and may include flu like symptoms. But subsequent symptoms may be less severe. They may be periodic occurring from two to four times annually. Menstruation, fatigue, and stress may allevate the symptoms. In females, the infection lesion may occur near or on the vaginal areas such as pubis, labia, clitoris, vulva, anus and buttocks. It requires special attention especially during delivery and vaginal examination by means of flash light may be needed. Herpes lesions may look like cold sores in the vaginal and penile regions. The eruptions may sometimes is like a paper cut or chaffing and can be mistaken as a yeast infection. Othet conditions of the outbreak may include aches and pain in the affected area accompanied by some
vaginal or penile discharge and pain in urination.
