The simplest one may require 2 ripe bananas, 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. You have to melt the butter in a small skillet over low heat. Cut bananas into quarters lengthwise or thick circular pieces. Fry them in melted butter until they turn light brown. Sprinkle with some brown sugar and serve. A more complex Thai variants may require 3/4 cup white rice flour, 1/4 cup tapioca flour, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup shredded coconut, 1 1/4 cups water, 10 bananas and 3 cups oil for frying. In a medium bowl, mix rice flour, tapioca, sugar, salt and coconut. Add water and stir continuously to form a thick batter. Peel the bananas and cut each lengthwise into 3 or 4 pieces. Heat the oil in deep-fryer. Dip the banana pieces in the batter to cover completely. Fry in hot oil until golden. Drain the excess oil on paper towels. Serve at once. You can pour some coconut ice cream to bring the oriental flavor. The recipe is quite high in calorie content. Fried Bananas peanut: Peanuts add fore excitement and calories to the recipes of fried banana. They are high in fiber and protein content and therefore ideal for growing children. The peanuts can be added in two ways. You can put the coarsely crushed nut in the batter prepared for frying the bananas. Otherwise, you can sprinkle them just before the serving. A caramelized “ba-si” involves putting the fried bananas into hot caramel and removing them immediately and washed in cold water with quick draining. That result in deep fried bananas coated with crunchy caramel. They look and taste even good when you add nuts on top of them.

Butter Fried Bananas: Bananas fried with butter brings the maximum taste and flavor of the fries. You can fry the chopped bananas till they are light brown. Add some oatmeal in boiling water. Lower the heat and cook for 5-7 minutes until the batter is thick. Add the fried bananas in them and serve hot. You may also use the banana fries for making a sandwich filling. Peanut butter goes well in preparing them.
