Six Flags Hurricane Harbor- Water Park: Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is a chain of water parks that forms a part of the famous chain of amusement parks, Six Flags. Though the parks do not have any resemblance, some of the common features include a range of body slides, tube slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and speed slides and shopping areas. Water parks form a part of a major theme park in Maryland, Gurnee, Illinois, Agawam, Massachusetts and Eureka, Missouri County of Prince George. These water parks have various rides like roller coasters and a wider selection of stores and restaurants. Earlier, the Hurricane Harbor, Arlington was known as Wet n Wild, as it was a part of the Wet n Wild chain of water parks. Later, it was purchased by Six Flags in 1993 and was renamed Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. Besides Arlington, Hurricane Harbor is also situated in Dallas, California and New Jersey. Monday to Thursday is the best time to enjoy the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor because they are the least crowded days of the week. Try to come early, if you do not want to stand for hours in the queue to buy tickets for the most popular rides. Be prepared to eat at slightly non-traditional lunch and dinner hours. Many rides can be closed for some time in case of lightning, heavy rainfall or strong winds in the area. However, they reopen as soon as it gets safe for operation. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor has some strict rules such as:
- Cameras are not allowed on rides.
- Personal inner tubes or air mattresses are prohibited.
- Coolers, outside food or glass containers are not permitted.
- Running is not allowed in the Water Park.
- Unruly behavior like line jumping is not allowed.
- All rules, instructions, warnings and smoking instructions should be observed wherever posted.
- Offenders will be sent out from the park without any refund.
Hurricane Harbor, Arlington, Texas: Six Flags Hurricane Harbor at Arlington, Texas offers its visitors an opportunity to cool off with over three million gallons of invigorating water. These water parks feature a number of entertaining rides such as Sea Wolf that takes its riders through over 830-feet of high-speed banks and heart stopping drops in a raft. Blue Raider is a two-passenger ride into a dark, flooded tunnel filled with drops and turns. In addition there are two other rides called Caribbean Chaos and Atlantic Panic.
