It also pays for the utilization of the park during specific times of the year. The family foundation of David C. Leach II has donated several million dollars, and continues to offer contributions to the theater. Currently the taxpayers of Oshkosh city pay 20,000 dollars a month for the amphitheater operations.

Riverside Park - Leach Amphitheater: Oshkosh city acquired a seven-acre riverfront area of land to build a new performance venue and a park. This area of land was previously used for manufacturing coal gas, which caused environmental issues, and therefore was undergoing remediation. Later, it was landscaped to enhance its aesthetic looks. Recommendations were made for a deep foundation system for a performance pavilion, which resulted in the Leach Amphitheater being built.
