History of Amphitheater Gorge in George: The Amphitheater Gorge of George originally started in the 1980’s when Dr. Vince Bryan and his wife Carol bought a site for a vineyard. The breathtaking view made Vince Bryan think of arranging for concerts while serving wine. They started the Champs de Brionne music theatre. It was opened in 1985 and the first performance was by Jesse Collin Young.
