Introduction of Herpes 1 simplex virus: Herpes 1 simplex virus or HSV is a virus which affects humans in two different forms of viral infections. In both the infections there is the occurrence of painful blisters filled with water, formed in the mucous membranes (such as mouth and lips) or in skin and even in genitalia. Theses diseases are contagious in nature and their cure has not been found yet with the present technologies. Fever blister or cold sore is the infection caused by it but often they are mistaken to be the symptom of  aphthous ulcers and cancer sores which are visibly similar to them and appear inside the oral cavity but are actually not caused by the herpes simplex virus

Types of Strains of herpes 1 virus: There are two main types of herpes 1 simplex virus which are known to affect the human beings. First one is called the Herpes simplex virus 1 or HSV1 in short and the other type of strain is called herpes simplex virus 2 or HSV2. HSV 2 is mainly responsible for the infections in the genital organs and that’s why the disease is called the Herpes of genital type. A major diseases caused by HSV1 is Herpes simplex encephalitis which is a very serious disorder. It is believed to be caused by the retrograde viral transmission from a peripheral region to the CNS along a nerve axon. It is believed that the virus can become contagious through more cold sores, and the disease can start to attack the brain. A rare, but serious consequence of vertical HSVtransmission from mother to newborn is Neonatal HSV disease. Despite current interventions with antiviral therapies the mortality rate from neonatal HSV disease is high (up to one in four).

Illusion of Herpes 1 simplex virus:In its asymptomatic phase the herpes simplex virus lies hidden in the body in the dormant phase in the neurons and other nerve cells, but once the outbreak is triggered it rapidly repeats within the axons towards the skin. After the passing of the outbreak, the virus sleeps dead or dies back along the nerve until it is present in the nerve body only. It is the dormancy of the virus in the nerve body which makes the treatment of this vial disease very difficult and remains an illusive objective for the doctors and scientists to achieve.

Herpes 1 Picture and Content on internet:These days a lot of people have become self aware about the possible diseases by reading and viewing content and pictures of all types of herpes available over the internet. This type of self diagnosis can sometimes go wrong as the persons them selves are not the qualified medical practitioners. The people may not clearly understand the symptoms and can draw wrong conclusions from the herpes 1 pictures. It is a common mistake to search the pictures of herpes on the internet and start the self diagnosis on its basis. On internet some of the gruesome pictures on the display of some herpes related site make the people dread and confuse the disease. It is to be noted that those pictures are in most cases the worst case scenarios that are not general pictures of what one will experience in the theoretical case of outbreak of herpes. It is more often than not that people end up in getting misdiagnosed from this medium of self diagnosis.
