Kawasaki motorcycles are identified by their power. Established in 1924, Kawasaki is a huge company that produces boats, trains, planes and motorcycles. The company became popularly known as ‘the horsepower king’, when it released the H1 500cc three cylinder two-stroke triple and the 750cc H2 three cylinder two-stroke triple. Kawasaki motorcycles then set performance standards with the release of the Z1 900cc four-cylinder machine, which in turn engendered the family of big four cylinder four-strokes like the Z1000, Z1-R, GPZ900R, all the way through to the modern hyper-bikes like the ZZ-R1100 and Ninja ZX-12R.

Kawasaki Ninja Motorcycle picture: The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14 is the most powerful model in Kawasaki's sports bike lineup. Labeled Kawasaki ZZR1400 in Europe and Japan, the motorcycle was unveiled at the Tokyo 2005 show. The bike was introduced for the 2006 model year with an MSRP of ,500 USD. The motorcycle was produced as a replacement for the ZX-12R in some markets, however the ZX-12R remains available to consumers in Europe. The Honda CBR1100XX and the Suzuki GSX1300R are the closest rivals of the Kawasaki. But, the Kawasaki surpasses them in acceleration and durability.

The Kawasaki Ninja can accelerate to 100 km/h (62mph), and has the ability of finishing a standing quarter mile in approximately 9.83 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 300 km/h (187 mph). As per the gentlemen's agreement between Suzuki and Kawasaki, this restriction has been implemented on both the Suzuki and Kawasaki hyper sports motorcycles since 2001. This agreement came about as a result of both the companies realizing that the speed wars between them would only have the consequence of bringing about regulations by the government.

Even though the ZX-14 has unmatched straight line performance, the relative hefty weight of the bike entails that in a racetrack environment it simply cannot compete with the current 1000 cubic centimeter sports bike class. This includes the Kawasaki's own ZX-0R. Since this bike has a softer suspension than the average 1000 cc sports bike, it is suggestive that it was designed more for drivability and comfort. This factor is also evident in the factory settings of the secondary throttle plate, which significantly reduces the rpm power, thus making it more manageable when driving at legal speeds.

Kawasaki Motorcycle parts sale: There are two types of parts available for the Kawasaki repair and parts replacement. OEM parts stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer parts, which are not necessarily produced by the OM (Original Manufacturer). Most manufacturers of motorcycles don’t manufacture every part of the vehicles they make, and have them designed and manufactured by outside independent companies, which they then install in the original design. Sometimes these companies sell these Kawasaki parts as OEM parts.

The real advantage of buying an OEM motorcycle part is that you get exactly the same original part that the Kawasaki manufacturer used to build the motorcycle. Thus, the part offers the same performance as the original that was installed when you bought the bike. However, OEM parts are more expensive than aftermarket parts. Companies other than the original manufacturer produce aftermarket parts.
