Bible crafts

Bible Craft is used to convey the message of the Bible to kids with the help of handicrafts and activities. As is apparent from the name, these are Bible based and are of great use to children from Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, Preschool, and even Home School.
Craft And Activity Ideas Of The Vacation Bible School: The vacation school craft idea is used to teach kids the Bible using crafts and activities. These activities and craft making skills are imparted to the kids for free.
Vacation Bible schools have devised various crafts like:
1) Raindrop Shapes - In this, the children create raindrop shapes using play dough or clay, then they use eraser clay to make small raindrops that fit at the end of their pencil, then they make a hole on the larger raindrops to make pencil holders.
2) Cloud and Raindrop Picture – Since children love drawing, coloring and painting, they can be asked to draw or paint a picture of a landscape, with trees and meadows. Cotton balls can be added to depict clouds, and raindrops drawn with blue paint or coloring pencil. This activity can be used to teach children about Nature. And about how God sends rain from the clouds.
The activities section also includes other fun things to do like the ‘Raindrop Bible Versus Roundup Review With The Cloud Pocket’, which involves finding the word ‘raindrop’ in the Bible verses. Origami is also taught, which kids find very enjoyable, because when they fold the paper they can find a Bible picture or verse. ‘Memory Crosses’ is another interesting activity that children really take pleasure in designing.
Bible Craft for Pre-Schools: As very young children usually have a short attention span, various activities are created to keep them engrossed and interested in school. For example, kids can be taught to make paper dolls. However, since pre-schoolers are too small to handle cutting, pre-cut papers are given to them to glue together, making dolls that resemble their friends. Thus, children can bond together and make lasting friendships. Sunday school also has curriculums that include the basic morals, ideals and goals that the Bible teaches.
Kid - Friendly: Kids learn in many ways – through music, story telling, drama, and art, and also by observing nature. In the old style of Sunday school, kids were made to sit quietly in neat rows, listening to the teacher’s lessons. Which often resulted in kids being bored and inattentive. Modern schools have therefore incorporated more interactive and stimulating methods of teaching. Curriculums like ‘Walk With Me’ have been designed which provide a strong foundation of the Bible, in an interesting and motivating way. Special units are provided for occasions like Christmas and Easter, which are used to focus on crafts and activities related to the biblical stories that are associated with them. Ideas and help is provided to middle school or high school children to design plays based on stories from the scriptures. ‘Walk With Me’ has been designed in four units to make it easier for the children to fit into their curriculum, and to learn. Besides, since children sometimes miss Sunday school, the smaller units mean that they don’t miss much. This curriculum also helps those children that are not familiar with the Bible, to learn about it. It also encourages community leaders involved in social work to motivate the teenagers of their area to learn about the Bible.
